Ancient Egyptians used to call the Hojari Frankincense “Sweat of the gods’ for a reason, it is the most spectacular frankincense i have ever worked with, just open the packet and smell it and you will know. The smell is like a pine tree mixed with limes and citrus and it truly is the tears of the gods.

It takes 10 to 12 years to grow and frankincense tree, and this farm has been handed down from generation to generation, although still owned by the government it is considered very spiritual to the famalies who have harvested this farm for decades. Not only do these amazing farmers believe that there is a sacred spiritual linage that must take care of the trees, they have certain songs and ceremonies around harvest times.

This is a fully sustainable farm and has been going for over 150 years handed down from generation to generation. It is taken very seriously the caregiving of these sacred trees. These trees are harvested every 4 to 5 months depending on the age of the tree.

Frankincense trees were considered extremely valuable commodity since ancient times and their location was often a matter of state secret. Valued more expensive then Gold ! Egyptians and across the Middle East nations used the incense to fumigate their homes, for ritual incense and the oil for cosmetics. It was used as a holy anointing oil and as a general cure-all for all diseases. It was also used to enhance meditation and elevate spiritual consciousness. History shows it was used for embalming as a perfume and also has strong roots in meditation. Frankincense or olibanum was mentioned in the Scriptures over 50 times and is found in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Chronicles, Nehemiah, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Matthew, and Revelations.

Frankincense is expensive in comparison to other therapeutic grade oils but less in comparison to other man-made drugs and of course its 100% organic, natural and free of nasty side effects. Does it work for everyone? No, but compared to the effects of chemotherapy, frankincense shows great potential now and in the future.

his is an exquisite organic frankincense resin.  It is of the highest quality and has an elegant soft scent when burned.  It is uplifting, comforting, cleansing and offers energetic protection just as the other Frankincense resins.  Frankincense is one of the most sacred resins dating all the way back to biblical times. Frankincense has been used for centuries for purification and protection.  Frankincense is burned to help cleanse and protect.  It  is also used similarly to white sage, to drive out negativity.  Frankincense resin has also been burned to induce visions and aid in meditation.
Frankincense resin generally begins as a milky-white sticky liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when it’s injured. The purpose of the resin is to heal the tree. Frankincense resin flows when a tool called a mengaff is used to scrape about a five-inch section down the trunk of tree. It is after the tree is scraped, a milky white juice begins to flow. This white juice hardens into yellow “tears” when exposed to the air.  That specific tree is then marked and the harvester returns to scrape and collect the hardened frankincense resin from the tree.  The large, clear globules are scraped off into baskets and the inferior quality that has run down the tree is collected separately. If it is wild harvested, no forced collection is done, the wild animals knock it off the tree.

The King of the Oils

Known as “liquid pearls from the tree of life”, the resin forms droplets that harden into the walnut-sized orange-brown gum known as Frankincense. The English name of this natural incense is derived from the medieval French ‘franc’, meaning ‘pure’ or ‘free’, and from the Latin ‘incensium’, meaning ‘to smoke’.

The spirit of the sacred and of meditation have surrounded Frankincense for ages; allowing the spirit, as it’s smoke does, to rise to the heavens.

Ancient Egyptian women would char frankincense resin (called kohl) and use it to blacken their eyelids and outline their eyes

The ancient cultures of Egypt, Persia, Israel, Rome and Greece often prescribed Frankincense oil for syphilis, rheumatism, respiratory and urinary-tract infections, skin diseases and digestive complaints.

Frankincense Water

Frankincense can be used as a preventative herbal remedy for general optimal health and also to address specific complains or medical conditions. For an holistic approach, complement the Frankincense water with other herbs or natural medicine/therapies, boosting your immune system and supporting your body to heal on the physical, emotional and psycho-spiritual levels of your being. Of course these should not be a substitute to a medical treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional. While working with Frankincense and ingesting this sacred resin, be conscious of the spirit of the plant to which you can connect and ask for guidance and support in your healing. Sacred Plant Dieting is well researched and practiced by many indigenous cultures and herbal medicine practitioners. Frankincense water can be consumed during the day as you would with your normal daily water. If you are addressing a specific health issue, be regular and consistent, the water should be drunk regularly as part of your daily self-care routine.

How to Make Frankincense water:

Drop 2 or 3 medium size tears of medical grade Royal Hojari resin in 1.5 litres of purified/mineral water. Allow the water to sit overnight in a cool dry place, you can put it in the fridge. The following morning the mixture is ready. In the morning drink on an empty stomach and consume the rest of the water throughout the day. Once the bottle is empty, you can refill the bottle with more water until resin has been almost completely dissolved. At night prepare an other bottle as above and continue with this cycle allowing your body the time to balance and heal.

What is Boswellic acid?

Boswellic acids are a series of terpenes (of pentacyclic terpenoid) molecules produced by the trees in the genus Boswellia. Boswellic acids are a major component in the resin exuded by the tree but are not found in the the steam or hydro distilled frankincense essential oil. This is due to the size of these terpenes too large to come over in the steam distillation process (the essential oil is composed mainly of the much lighter monoterpene and sesquiterpene molecules with small amounts of diterpenoid components being the upper limit in terms of molecular weight) and to the non-volatile characteristic of the boswellic acid as these components are non-volatile. Boswellic acids exhibit potent anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and in vivo. Specific to their anticancer properties, boswellic acids induce antiproliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis in leukemia cell lines.
